I'm gonna start this out by being real honest with you, I'm totally biased when it comes to first looks. I love them. I love the photos we take away from them. I love how they can help the day flow seamlessly from one event to the next. It's what Zak and I did on our day, so yeah, totally and utterly biased.
This sweet girl's humans got married this summer!
And boy, let me tell you, it was a show stopper! With the gold details and gorgeous, rich pops of color, this stunner of a late summer wedding had it's vintage glam game going on!
I love me a backyard wedding! And Kim + Brad's Wisconsin summer backyard day did not disappoint! How much more meaningful can you get when your venue is your grandparents' house? Love it. Love. It.
How fitting on this day full of good ol' Wisconsin weather?! This was my first wedding where it rained ALL DAY LONG! Remember these two from their cute-as-heck engagement session at Trimborn Farm? Well, now Kaitlyn + Russel are married! (And have been for almost a year because I'm still playing quite the game of catch up!) So get your snuggy back out of storage one (hopefully) last time and take a peak at some of my favorite photos from their wedding! :)
Dawn + Drew were married last spring and had one of the coolest Milwaukee weddings we've ever had the privilege of shooting. From the big stuff like recpeption venue, down to the details, like bouquet lockets and tie clips. :)
Katie + Joe are about a minute away from celebrating their one year anniversary, but please join me for a second and enjoy a few pictures from their early spring wedding. If you remember from their engagement session, Joe is a laugh a minute! And now just imagine him with his group of groomsmen! And Katie, Katie was a beautiful and elegant bride! So relaxed and so easy to work with. The two of them together is really something though. Between the way that Joe wraps Katie in his arm and kisses her forehead, to the thoughtfulness of Katie playing a special song for her new husband at their celebration, their love for each other is true and was an absolute joy to photograph.
There she is - my excuse as to why you haven't been seeing many posts from me lately, my precious, drooling, love-of-my-life excuse. I was completely naive to how much time I'd have being home with her, it really is a full-time job on its own. I'm sure other moms out there may be laughing in agreement with me right now. But, no denying , it's the best job I've ever had. Everyday, at least once, I think about how lucky I am, so, so lucky!
