Happy Friday Everyone!
Zak & I had so much fun with our friends and brave souls, Dan & Kim, on their engagement shoot last weekend. Thank goodness for fingerless gloves!
I want to share some of my favorites from what was probably the coldest shoot to date.
Even though we were dealing with single digit degrees, and had to take a few breaks to warm up fingers, nose, and toes, I am in love with end results!
First of all, I'm always excited when a couple or family has a 'new' idea for a shoot, shooting an engagement session around a fire in the middle of December was definitely new for me!
Awesome idea Kim!
Second, because we were able to start shooting only about an hour or so before sunset, I love the variety of lighting we had to play with. From full on sun, to sunset, to dusk, I like how the images have a cool contrast between warm and cold - snow and overcast-ish sky lends some 'cold' hues and ideas to the images while the sunset and Christmas lights, (and a little bit of post work) adds some 'warm' colors and feelings. Love, love, love.
Looking forward to some more Wisconsin winter sessions, I just have to get better boots. :)
And thanks for the beer afterwards guys! It warmed me right up! :)
Thanks for reading!
